Lining the Most Difficult Projects in the Industry

After a routine inspection of a 3,300 ft. section of sewer pipe that ran through a mountain, to Spout Run Parkway in Arlington County, Virginia, officials discovered significant signs of degradation of the nearly 100-year-old pipe. Concerned about the aging infrastructure, the County wanted to take preventative steps to avoid a possible collapse. When Arlington County released the project for bid in the fall of 2022, a dozen contractors requested the bid. However, only two contractors actually submitted bids … a sign of the project’s complexities.
